Earn Bonus Aeroplan Miles with Costco

Aeroplan has a strong relationship with Costco in Canada, that allows you to earn bonus miles.

Referral + Sign Up Bonus

First of all, there is a current promotion where referring a friend to sign up for a Costco membership can both earn bonus Aeroplan miles. This offer runs until August 31, 2018:

• Receive a voucher for 1,000 Aeroplan miles for a Gold Star or Business membership ($60 per year, plus taxes)
• Receive a voucher for 1,500 Aeroplan miles for an Executive or Executive Business membership ($120 per year, plus taxes)

Once you activated your membership card, you can also earn bonus miles for shopping online at Costco.ca. If you shop in store, you do not earn any Aeroplan miles, it has to be online only.

Earn 3x the Aeroplan miles

Currently, Aeroplan is running a 3x the miles promotion with Costco. Basically, you can 3 miles for every $1 spent online, by entering the promo code: AERO3. The offer runs until March 25, 2018. Also note that when you buy online, you have the option of using Visa or MasterCard (unlike the store where you can only use MasterCard). So if you prefer racking up rewards on your Visa card instead of MasterCard, online shopping is another way to do it.
