Marriott Bonvoy Status Match & Challenge
Marriott Bonvoy announced a status match and challenge offer by matching the elite status of 4 competitor programs (along with completing a challenge). Once completed, the Marriott status will be maintained through February 2022.
Note that it has been around for a few days now and there is no precise time limit on when it ends. It will be based on internal numbers, so best to register as soon as possible (more details on the conditions below).
Status Potential
Bonvoy members can qualify for:
- Gold elite status – by staying at least 5 nights at Marriott Bonvoy hotels within a 90-day period
- Platinum elite status – by staying at least 15 nights at Marriott Bonvoy hotels within a 90-day period
Hilton Honors
Current Gold or Diamond Hilton Honors members can reciprocate through the Marriott Platinum status challenge.
World of Hyatt
Current Explorist elite World of Hyatt members can reciprocate through the Marriott Gold status challenge.
Current Globalist elite World of Hyatt members can reciprocate through the Marriott Platinum status challenge.
Accor Live Limitless
Current Gold elite Accor Live Limitless members can reciprocate through the Marriott Gold status challenge.
Current Platinum or Diamond elite Accor Live Limitlesst members can reciprocate through the Marriott Platinum status challenge.
IHG Rewards Club
Current Platinum or Spire elite IHG Rewards Club members can reciprocate through the Marriott Gold status challenge.
Conditions
There are a few conditions to keep in mind:
- Members must register for the status challenge.
- To determine eligibility and register for the status challenge, click here. It may take a few days to determine eligibility.
- The 90-day period begins when the member is officially upgraded.
- It is recommended to register soon because the number of registrations will determine how long the status challenge will be available.
- If members complete the challenge, it counts toward Lifetime status
