Porter Airlines Extends Flight Cancellations to June 29, 2020

Porter Airlines has extended all of its cancelled flights to June 28, 2020. So flights are expected to return on June 29, 2020 (instead of the original June 1, 2020). Tickets for travel beginning June 29, 2020 are available for purchase. Part of the reason is the border restrictions to and from the United States, as many of their flights are cross boarder. And it’s not like there is a lot of domestic travel at the moment anyway. So it probably makes sense to continue shutting down their flights.

Porter is continuing to waive change and cancellation fees on all fares booked by June 29, 2020. Here’s a quick recap of the terms and conditions:

Waived Change Fees

One-time change fee waiver for flights booked before June 29, 2020. The new travel has to occur within the next 12 months. The fee waiver applies at least 24 hours before departure, otherwise, standard change fee rules apply. Furthermore, the fare differences and applicable taxes also apply.

Waived Cancellation Fees

There is no cancellation fees for any flights booked before June 29, 2020. The cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before departure and can be done online. If the flight was booked directly with Porter, passengers will be issued a travel credit that must be used within 12 months of the original booking date.

  1. IChief Editor: It’s spelled BORDER. Also, it’s a two way restriction in place: into the U.S. and into Canada.
