In our previous posts, we introduced the More Rewards loyalty program and all the different locations in which you can earn More Rewards points. With the basic membership, earnings become a little slow with just 1 point per dollar spent at most locations. We then introduced areas in which you can boost your earnings rate. In this post we will talk about why we want to More Rewards.
What Can You Do with More Rewards
You may be wondering now why it is of value to you to be earning More Rewards. More Rewards points can be redeemed for the following items:

As per the description on the More Rewards website, you have the option of flying from Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, Calgary or Edmonton. You also have the option of flying to one of the following destinations:
Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle, Spokane, Wenatchee, Yakima, Pasco, Pullman, Walla Walla
Oregon: Portland, Eugene, Remond, Medford
Idaho: Boise, Lewiston
89,000 rewards points gets you the return flight for free (plus surcharges and taxes), but you can also choose the points-and-cash options which only requires 20,000 rewards points and $349.00 (plus surcharges and taxes).
Terms and Conditions on More Rewards Travel
You will only have the option to travel on flights operated by Alaska Airlines, which means you will not be able to travel on their partner airlines.
Travel must originate from the stated applicable routes and cities. If you require an overnight connection between cities that will be made at the traveller’s expense.
Finally, it is a requirement to stay at your destination for a minimum of two nights, or your ticket will be deemed invalid.
Other Award Redemptions
Asides from having affiliation with Coast Hotel and Accent Inn, you can also redeem for a Best Western $50 Travel Card with just 27,000 More Rewards points. As per the description, the travel gift card is good for any Best Western Hotel located around the world.
Final Take on More Rewards
As a Canadian, we are surrounded by a few monopolized companies when it comes to earning loyalty points. I’m glad to see that there is another option. If you’re a frequent shopper of More Rewards participating grocery locations, then this card may be beneficial to you. As I mentioned above, there are many ways in which you can boost your rate at earning More Rewards points, allowing you for quicker award redemption. I like the fact that More Rewards seems flexible in their award options, ranging from gift cards, house products to travel and travel vacation packages. I mean, not everyone wants to receive grocery gift cards for purchasing groceries.
