[PROMOTION] 2X or 3X Your Points with Alaska Airlines and WestJet
There are two sets of offers going on with Alaska Airlines and WestJet specifically for flights in the west coast of Canada. Every now and then, airlines offer a promotion where you can earn points for the same flight during a specific period of time. Usually these promotions are not significant enough to do a trip just for the sake of earning points. But if you have a trip in mind during the period or within the proximity of it, I would at least make the effort to try to squeeze the trip within the time period of the promotion to take advantage of some bonus points.
The first promotion is with Alaska Airlines, who has a loyalty program called Mileage Plan. Their offer allows you to earn 2x the points on flights between Seattle (SEA) and Calgary (YYC) or Vancouver (YVR). You will need to register for this promotion, as well as travel between February 15, 2015 and May 15, 2015.
The second promotion is with WestJet, who has a loyalty program called WestJet Rewards. Their offer allows you to earn 2X or 3X WestJet dollars on select flights (direct flights) departing from:
- Calgary to Edmonton
- Edmonton to Fort McMurray
- Edmonton to Calgary
- Edmonton to Grande Prairie
- Fort McMurray to Edmonton
- Kelowna to Vancouver
- Vancouver to Kelowna
- Vancouver to Victoria
- Victoria to Vancouver
You will earn 2X the WestJet dollars with Flex fares or 3X the WestJet dollars with Plus fares. You will need to register for this promotion, as well as book your flight between February 10, 2015 and March 17, 2015. Though you will need to compete your travel before April 30, 2015.
