CIBC has partnered with Paymi to enable clients to receive promotional bonus cash back.
Depositing Cash Back
It usually takes 1 to 5 business days for the cash back rewards to post on a member’s account, depending on the transaction.
There is a $1.50 interac e-transfer fee if you deposit less than $25, but the fee is waived if you wait till you have over $25 cash back.

You can receive $5 bonus for every friend you refer to Paymi as soon as they make their first eligible purchase.

The amount depends on different factors. Just look at it this way, any cash back is on top of anything else. So even 0.5% is better than 0%.
That being said, if you are not comfortable with the passwords to connect the cards, that is a fair concern! I am sure that you are not the only one who feels this way.
