[PROMOTION] IHG PointsBreak (January 27, 2014 to March 31, 2014) (expired)
One of my favourite hotel promotion, PointsBreak, is on again. Every few months IHG Rewards releases a list of hotels where you only need to use 5,000 points to redeem for a hotel room. The rooms are completely random. I have taken advantage of past promotions and it feels great to get so much value for our points.
You can find the most recent list here. This promotion runs from January 27, 2014 to March 31, 2014. There are five Canadian hotels on the list:
Alberta
British Columbia
Ontario
Quebec
Last time I mentioned that I rarely see them repeat hotels on the list. But the Crowne Plaza Gatineau-Ottawa has been on the list previously. If you happen to be travelling in the near future to anywhere in the world, be sure check the list of hotels included in the Pointsbreak promotion to see if you can take advantage of one of the hotels on the list because you are getting excellent value.
There has been talk that this promotion will end at some point. Even if IHG denies the rumours, it won’t stop them from discontinuing the promotion at any moment in time. So take advantage while you can.
Message to IHG Rewards: This promotion is one of the reasons why I continue to value my IHG Rewards as my primary hotel chain for my travels. Hopefully you will continue to improve your program so that more people can get on board.
