Saturday News and Updates (PointsU, Delta Air Lines, IHG Rewards)
A few news and updates to report on this week.
Canadian Points University
The next Canadian Points University has officially been announced for October 22, 2016 in Toronto. You can already start purchasing your tickets!
Delta Air Lines Waives Phone Booking Fees
Previously, Delta Air Lines charged $25 to purchase a ticket over the phone, or $35 in person at the airport or at a ticket office. They have now decided to waive this booking fee. I assume that they will recover their costs some other way, because I can’t see them giving up that much of their profits.
Though an argument can be made that less and less people are using this service anyway as more and more people are making their reservations online.
Either way, on the surface, this does look like a customer friendly move. Let’s see if some of the other airlines follow suit.
IHG Rewards Share Forever
One of my favourite hotel rewards program, IHG Rewards is offering its next phase of promotion: Share Forever. These promotional offers are customized to every member individually. Below is my offer.
