[PROMOTIONS] Buy/Gift Aeroplan Miles
Aeroplan is offering a bonus promotion on its Buy/Gift Aeroplan Miles feature. Starting today (from May 7, 2020 until May 13, 2020) Aeroplan members will be able to buy miles and receive bonus miles on their purchase:
- Receive 115% bonus for the first 10 million Aeroplan Miles sold
- Receive 90% bonus for the next 100 million miles sold
- Receive 65% bonus for all miles thereafter (until May 13, 2020)
If you are using a US based credit card with a US billing address, you are not subjet to sales tax.
The is a limit of 250,000 miles per transaction and annual limit of 500,000 miles.

I took advantage of the travel at home promotion by transferring american express reward point. I now have the Prestige status. My question is to achieve elite 35k can I do that by purchasing aeroplan points, shopping on e store or with aeroplan credit card?
I need your expert advice.

That’s a really good question Francois. The answer is 50% of the purchased miles will count towards elite status.
Credit card and estore count 1 for 1.

So if I find a way to add 20000 points of purchase miles during the travel at home promotion I will get the elite 35k from my recently prestige status even if I don t have the required dollar spend requirement of $4000.. if this is true its a great perk in my opinion.
To answer your question, yes, basically Aeroplan/Air Canada is giving more options to reach Elite 35K where it you don’t need to meet the $4,000 in spending.
