In recent years, providing Wi-Fi in hotels has become a necessity rather than a service provided to frequent travelers. Hyatt has announced that beginning February 2015 all Hyatt hotels will be providing guests access to free Wi-Fi on mobile devices and laptops. Not only will they be available in hotel guest rooms, but also social areas as well.
Offering free Wi-Fi access has been the result of responding to Hyatt guests’ feedback. Vice president of brands for Hyatt Kristine Rose states that “travelers shouldn’t have to remember which brands or locations offer it for free or the strings attached to get it.” Connecting to the Internet has slowly become a part of our daily lives and having the convenience of unlimited Wi-fi service will optimize Hyatt guests’ experience. It is always nice to hear when the corporation responds with a positive step to feedback that they receive from guests.
Additionally, if you are a Hyatt Gold Passport member, you can enjoy a free upgrade to premium Wi-Fi service. In Canada, Hyatt hotels are located in Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. Though only a handful of hotels in Canada, there are still some special offers available:
