[AIRLINE] Air Transat Adds More Seats to its London and Paris Routes
Many of you already know that I am not a fan of Air Transat to begin with, so this type of announcement does not help their cause. Conversely, WestJet and Air Canada increased their baggage fees, which are also uncustomer-friendly moves.
I have only flown with Air Transat once, though I may have had a bad experience before getting onto the flight, I must give them credit for providing great customer service aboard the plane. Though customer service can only go so far if we feel very tight at our seats.
It is already well-known that their flights are a little bit tighter compared to some of the other airlines, so squeezing the seats even more may possibly turn a few taller people away from long-haul flights.
Air Transat is looking to trim its budget and one of its initiatives is too add more seats to Airbus A330 on routes to London and Paris.
As bad of an experience as I did with Air Transat, I would hate for it to shut down and minimize the competition in Canada further. So hopefully they will do what they can to balance the budget. For now, hopefully they can do what they can to survive.
