Canadian Airline Series: Air North
We have written about Air North in the past, so here is some additional valuable information about the Whitehorse, Yukon based airline. It operates services in Yukon to Northwest Territories, Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario and its major hub is Whitehorse International Airport. Air North also provides charter, cargo and ground handling services throughout the Yukon.

Air North Passenger Fares
Air North only sells Y class fare tickets, which includes a light snack meal service. You will be permitted to two pieces of free checked baggage, with the total weight not exceeding 100 lbs. Within the economy fare class, you can pay for a premium Optimum ticket, which allows for complimentary Advance Seat Selection. Air North flyers can visit the Plaza Premium Lounge in Vancouver for $25 CAD per 2 hour stay or $30 CAD per 3 hour stay. The guess pass must be purchased 24 hours before your departure time. Air North flyers also have the option of visiting the Concierge Desk at the Plaza Premium Lounge in Vancouver and purchasing a one time 2 hour pass for $30 CAD.
Air North Air Passes
As Air North does not provide any frequent flyer program, what they do offer are different air passes:
Student Flex Passes, which is also called a Meridian Pass, includes four one-way segments, priced at $799 plus tax a package.

- Change fee is $80 CAD plus tax
The other Student pass, call the Horizon Pass, is also a four one-way segments package for $1499 plus tax.

Yukon Advantage Traveller Air Pass is a 10 one-way flight segments pass which costs $3,150 CAD plus GST. The Yukon Air Pass is for two travellers. Flight reservations are permitted up to one hour before the departure time. If you which to change or cancel your flight, it can be done for $50 CAD plus GST. Complimentary advance seat selection will be given. The Yukon Air Pass also covers all fees, taxes and fuel surcharges; thus, you will only need to pay GST in the one-time price.

You can also purchase the Yukon Advantage Air Pass which is 30 one-way flight segments for $9,000 CAD plus GST. The Advantage Air Pass allows for up to 8 travellers to use the pass. Other conditions are the same as the Traveller Air Pass. Flight reservations are permitted up to one hour before the departure time. If you which to change or cancel your flight, it can be done for $50 CAD plus GST. Complimentary advance seat selection will be given. VIA Rail Canada is an official partner with Air North allowing flyers to travel even further by train.

Okanagan’s SilverStar Ski Resort is another partner of Air North airline, offering three of seven night “Fly, Ski and Stay” packages which includes direct flights from Whitehorse to Kelowna International Airport (YLW) in British Columbia.
Big White Ski Resort partners with Air North airline, also offering “Fly, Stay, and Ski” packages with direct flights from Whitehorse to Kelowna International Airport (YLW) every Thursday and Sunday.
