Calm Air began as a family charter business and provided supplies and needs to nearby communities in Black Lake, Saskatchewan. Calm Air then decided to acquire larger aircraft to connect the people in Northern Manitoba and Keewatin communities and has since been known as the airline company which connects the North & South. Today, the previously family-owned airline continues to provide excellent service to its passengers. Calm Air definitely holds a historical spot in Canadian air travel. If you’re out in Winnipeg looking for a flight up, you may want to consider Calm Air, not for the comfort so much, but for its historical aspect.
