Earning Aeroplan on Amazon?
A press release just came out announcing that Aeroplan is teaming up with Amazon.ca, effective April 24, 2018. Just when we thought Aeroplan was taking a nose-dive, they came out with a strong response.
Note that you can earn Aeroplan miles through their shopping portal. Below are the steps:
- Go to aeroplan.com/estore
- Select Amazon.ca
- Login with your Aeroplan Number and last name
- Click on the ‘Shop Now’ button to be redirected to Amazon.ca (this is how the shopping portal works)
- Earn 3 miles for every $1 spent on Amazon.ca (as a Diamond Aeroplan status member)
- Earn 2 miles for every $1 spent on Amazon.ca (as a Silver Aeroplan status member)
- Earn 1 mile for every $1 spent on Amazon.ca (as a regular Aeroplan member)
- Watch for bonus promotion offers to earn even more bonus miles
This is a very strong move by Aeroplan to give people more opportunities to earn more miles. Now, what they need to focus on is to give strong reward redemption options to keep this going!
Easy to earn = faster devaluation.
There’s a reason that they lost Air Canada as a sponsor.
Or do Amazon shirts not care about customer service?
Have they looked into the reason for the class action against Aeroplan?
We’ll see how long this partnership lasts.

I’m using Chrome in regular mode with cookies enabled and I added a specific exemption for Aeroplan.com. All ad-blockers turned off on there
I find Internet Explorer no Ad block works better.

I contacted Aeroplan support and that was useless, tried all setting and even removed aeroplan cookies.
Has anyone figured this one out?
Would be so much easier if they just had a slot to enter our Aeroplan number on Amazon instead!
