Get 5 Free Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Rides
Effective today, November 1st, 2023, until the end of the year, December 31, 2023, Rogers Bank credit cardholders using mobile wallet can receive 5 free Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) rides. Each ride has a value of $3.30. It may not see like a lot of value, but these are still freebies!
Furthermore, if you are a Rogers wireless customer, you should be able to take advantage of the 5G connection network at most downtown stations, even some of the underground ones when using the TTC subway system.
How it works
Rogers Bank credit cardholders need to link and use their eligible mobile wallet, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay to tap and ride. The five free rides applies when boarding a bus, streetcar or entering a fare gate at a station. It does not apply to purchases made at PRESTO machines, PRESTO Autoload, online or using the PRESTO app.
Note that you will need to pay for the fare in advance, while a statement credit will be issued within 5 business days from transaction date.

- Rogers World Elite Mastercard
- Rogers Platinum Mastercard
- Fido Mastercard
Thoughts
Personally I am a fan of the Rogers Mastercard. I have the card and hope to be able to use it in the next 2 months. If you do not have any of the Rogers card yet, there is enough time to apply for one and still be able to take advantage of the free rides. In my previous post, I did mention that Rogers Bank cards are a no-brainer if you use any of their services.
If you do not normally take public transit, this is as good a reason to take it. For bus pass holders, you probably already purchased the November pass and it makes more sense to purchase it for this month. However, in December, if you have holidays planned and reduced transit load, it may make more sense to hold off until then to use these free passes, which would help you justify not buying a pass that month.
I am glad that Rogers Bank offer the free rides through to the end of December. Great move by Rogers so more people can take advantage of this!
