[PROMOTION] IHG PointsBreak (March 24, 2014 to May 31, 2014)

Another round of the PointsBreak List is out. Every few months IHG Rewards Club releases a list of hotels where you only need to use 5,000 points to redeem for a hotel room. The rooms are completely random but I started seeing some repeat hotels on the list.

This promotion runs from March 24, 2014 to May 31, 2014. Below are the Canadian hotels that made it to the list:

Alberta

• Holiday Inn Express Red Deer
• Holiday Inn Express Sherwood Park-Edmonton Area
• Holiday Inn Express Whitecourt Sourtheast

British Columbia

• Holiday Inn Surrey East-Cloverdale
• Holiday Inn West Kelowna

Manitoba

Nova Scotia

• Holiday Inn Halifax Harbourview

Ontario

• Holiday Inn Express Chatham South
• Holiday Inn Express Toronto-Mississauga

This appears to be one of the longer than usual Canadian lists. This is one of my favourite hotel promotion out there because I feel that we get a lot of value with our points if we can take advantage of the deal. Furthermore, many of the hotels on the list are comfortable. The Holiday Inn Expresses include a free breakfast which I find gives amazing value during your stay.

I was pretty harsh on IHG Rewards the last time this promotion rolled around. This made a great comeback this time. Hopefully there is more to come in the future.
