Today we are featuring Jennifer Johnson from More Rewards, who will share with us some travel enhancement features. Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Jennifer and looking forward to what you are working on too!

1) Please tell us who you are and what your role is with More Rewards?

I’m Jennifer Johnson, Loyalty Director for More Rewards and I’m responsible for driving customer experience and integrating the business across all loyalty functions. I have previously worked in a number of loyalty, partnership and marketing roles in organizations in Canada and the U.K. such as London Drugs, Tesco, Ford Retail and News UK with specific expertise in developing partnerships, loyalty and digital transformation in complex businesses.

2) What is More Rewards about?

More Rewards is one of Western Canada’s favourite loyalty programs. Millions of members collect points on their everyday grocery spend at more than 250 stores including Save-On-Foods, PriceSmart Foods, Buy-Low Foods, Nesters Market, Quality Foods, and Urban Fare, as well as at hundreds of partner locations, such as Panago Pizza, Jim Pattison Auto Group, Speedy Glass, and more. Our members redeem their points for rewards such as free travel, groceries, gift cards, and more. It’s our way of saying thank you for shopping with us!

3) Looks like there have been some recent enhancements to More Rewards Travel, Powered by Expedia. How is it different from before?

More Rewards recently launched the new and improved “More Rewards Travel, Powered by Expedia” platform, which unlocks a bigger world of travel for More Rewards cardholders. This new partnership means customers can access Expedia Group’s extensive breadth and depth of travel inventory. And the new end-to-end More Rewards platform makes it easier than ever to book. Using the new More Rewards Travel, Powered by Expedia platform, cardholders have the choice of paying for travel through points redemption or online payment. Members can redeem any number of points they choose towards a travel booking and even earn one point for every additional dollar spent through the platform — meaning this partnership not only unlocks easy travel redemption but also a new, exciting way to earn More Rewards points.

4) What else can we look forward to?

We are always looking for ways to make the More Rewards program even more rewarding for our members. Within the last year, we have expanded our in-store redemption options with the introduction of “Pay with Points” and launched the new partnership with Expedia. But it doesn’t stop there. Our short-term roadmap includes even more ways to add value, personalization, and ease to improve our members’ experience. Stay tuned for full details, but safe to say we’re very excited about our upcoming plans and members can expect more big things to come soon!

5) Any closing thoughts?

As Pointshogger demonstrates, there is so much choice available these days, especially when it comes to loyalty. We’re really thankful to our customers for engaging with our program and are working hard to make the program even easier and better for them! Being considered one of Western Canada’s favourite loyalty programs is not something we take lightly. We are proud to help our members save money and make their dollars go further.

To help our members get even more value from the program, we will continue to expand the many ways to earn and redeem points, such as through our digital offers platform, My Offers, and our expansive partner network.
