[PROMOTION] 15,000 Sign Up Bonus Points with HSBC Advance MasterCard (expired on August 31, 2015)
The HSBC Advance MasterCard is offering a welcome bonus offer of 15,000 points if you apply before August 31, 2015. HSBC has an Advance Rewards Program where you can select whether you want to use those points as points or use them as cash back.
Before we dig deeper, let’s look at the highlights of the credit card:
- No annual fee
- Earn 15,000 sign up bonus points upon approval (if you apply before
August 31, 2015) - Earn 1 point or 1% cash back for every $1 spent on all purchases on the first $10,000 in annual spending
- Earn 1.25 point or 1.25% cash back for every $1 spent on all purchases made above $10,000 in annual spending
The 15,000 is essentially worth $150 in cash, which is a pretty good deal for a no annual fee credit card.
This credit card is available exclusively to HSBC Advance clients. To become an Advance client, you need to open and maintain an HSBC Advance chequing account. You also need to maintain $25,000 in combined personal deposit and investment balances and/or have a total aggregate personal mortgage balances of $150,000 or more.
If your account balance falls below the eligibility requirement, a monthly maintenance fee of $25 will be incurred. Furthermore, if you no longer have an HSBC Advance chequing account, your HSBC Advance MasterCard account will be closed.
If you are already an HSBC Advance client, then this is a pretty good credit card to add to your portfolio, especially if you already collecting points in the Advance Rewards Program, this can really help boost your balance. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to add this credit card to my portfolio of I am not already a client.
