[PROMOTION] Students First Year Fee Waived Plastk

This past spring, we wrote about the launch of the Plastk Secured Visa Credit Card, which took an interesting take on secure cards.

Today, we want to share with you a first year fee waived promotion for students. First off, let’s highlight the details of the card and discuss the promotion afterwards that runs until December 31, 2021. There is a simultaneous Apple AirPods Contest that runs until October 15, 2021.

• $48 annual fee (first year annual fee waived for new cardholders who are full time students enrolled in Canadian Universities and Colleges) (must apply before December 31, 2021)
• $6 monthly maintenance fee (first year maintenance fee waived for new cardholders who are full time students enrolled in Canadian Universities and Colleges)

• $300 minimum security deposit required to set credit limit
• Earn 1 point for every $1 spent
• Receive free monthly credit score updates, powered by Equifax

Eligibility Requirements

Below are a list of requirements to qualify for the promotion, applicants must

• Not be an existing cardholder, this is open to new cardholders only
• Have a valid student email address provided by a Canadian University or College
• Have a valid student ID provided by a Canadian University or College
• Be enrolled full-time for the current academic school year (2 semesters)
• Must have applied and submitted the minimum security funds ($300) by December 31, 2021

Apple AirPods Contest

In addition to having their (students) first year annual fee and first year monthly maintenance fee waived, they will be entered into a contest to win a free Apple AirPods Pro if they apply and verified by October 15, 2021. ,The winner will be contacted by October 22, 2021.

Thoughts

Having the first year fee and the monthly maintenance fee waived for the first year (a $120 overall value) makes this card a total no-brainer for students. This is an amazing offer to people who are looking to build their credit score, while being able to earn rewards at the same time!
