Easter Weekend News and Updates
For some of you, this Easter is a long weekend! If so, I hope that you are enjoying your time off. For others, this is probably a busy weekend, so hopefully you will still find some time to relax.
Updates
I will start off with a few housekeeping items. We are well into 2016, so this is what we have done so far this year:
- Pointshogger 101 page has been updated (mostly a few tweaks and elaborated on a few points).
- Teamed up with Award Magic to provide Award Booking Service.
- We moved our topics to the menu bar, instead of being listed on the side bars.
- We added all our widgets to the side bars instead.
We hope that these changes would a more user-friendly experience.
News
Lots of flip flopping going on with Starwood trying to juggle the two competing bids to buy them out. One from Marriott and one from Anbang. The beginning of the week it looked like Anbang was going to win with a stronger bid, but then Marriott came back with by offering an even competitive one than their original. At the end of the day, I just hope that Starwood comes out with a new and improved product. That is really the bottom line. So I hope that when Starwood makes their decision, it will be in the best interest of the consumers, rather than… you know.
Air Canada announced this week that they are expanding their Wi-Fi to their international flights. This adds to the already existing service for domestic and North American flights.
Upcoming
The next Canadian Points University will be announced sometime later in the year. If you missed the last one, you won’t want to miss this one. Here is our YouTube video from PointsUYVR.
