1) Welcome back Rachel MacAdam, glad you are able to do a follow up interview with us on a new partnership. What have you been up to since December?

Thanks for having me back! The last time we spoke, we had just launched our partnership with WestJet. Since then, we’ve really doubled down on our membership program, Skip+. As Canada’s homegrown delivery network, we want to ensure we’re delivering even more value to Canadians. Just recently, we proudly announced that Skip+ is joining the TELUS Rewards program as a partner perk, offering $0 delivery fees on eligible orders to rewards members.

Another big part of this has been deepening our existing relationships—our expanded collaboration with CIBC is a perfect example of how that’s evolving. We know people want loyalty programs that actually fit their lifestyle, but they also want experiences that feel a bit more special. That’s why we’re building a more connected ecosystem through Skip+. It’s about the balance: saving on the everyday essentials while unlocking exclusive perks through partners like CIBC, WestJet, and Live Nation.

At the same time, we’ve continued growing our network across Canada with new restaurant, grocery, and convenience partners, and investing in new ways to help Canadians get more value from Skip everyday.

2) Last time we discussed a new partnership with WestJet, this time it’s CIBC. Please tell us more about it?

We’re really excited to expand our collaboration with CIBC to offer the most value to customers through a partnership of this kind in Canada. At the end of the day, this is about delivering meaningful, everyday value that Canadians actually feel in their wallets. When we first launched with CIBC back in late 2024, the response was very strong. Since then, CIBC cardholders have saved more than $50 million through Skip+, so we knew we had to go bigger. That’s exactly what this new phase is: it’s more than just a trial now. Eligible CIBC cardholders get a free Skip+ membership, which means $0 delivery fees and exclusive access to those exclusive experiences with Live Nation, WestJet, and more partners. Plus, we’ve added a recurring $10 monthly voucher to reward customer loyalty.

What I love about this partnership is that it isn’t trying to change how people live; it’s meeting them where they already are. Canadians are already using Skip for their meals and groceries—we’re just making those everyday habits a lot more rewarding and a whole lot more valuable.

3) What else can we look forward to with Skip?

Skip is continuing to move beyond just ‘food delivery’ and is becoming a full-scale convenience and rewards powerhouse. We want to make sure that whenever a Canadian thinks about value or flexibility, they think of Skip, Canada’s homegrown delivery network.

A big part of that is our retail expansion. We’ve brought on partners like Walmart, Loblaw, and Shoppers Drug Mart in recent months, so you can grab everything from pharmacy essentials to beauty products just as easily as a pizza. We’re also leaning into partnerships that connect with fan communities and cultural moments – like our partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays which features Game Day Deals, where Canadians can get 30% off vouchers for every Blue Jays game, simply by signing up for SMS notifications by texting ‘GAMEDAY’ to 75471. Alongside that, we’re continuing to build more personalized offers, loyalty experiences, and member perks through partnerships with WestJet Rewards, giving Canadians even more ways to unlock value in their everyday spending.

We know Canadians are being much more intentional with their spending right now. Our goal is to help stretch those dollars further by making convenience and rewards feel like one seamless experience. It’s about helping Canadians ‘Skip to the good part’ of their day, everyday.

4) Any closing thoughts?

Within the current climate, loyalty has to feel useful every single day. Canadians are looking for programs that deliver consistent value, and that’s exactly what we’re focused on with partners like CIBC.

At Skip, our primary goal is to help Canadians Skip to the good part of their day; whether that’s saving money on everyday essentials, accessing exclusive experiences, or simply saving time. We’re excited to keep building programs and partnerships that meet Canadians where they are right now, making life a little more convenient.
