Top Credit Card Higher than Normal Sign Up Bonuses for October 2019

Another month, but barely any changes from last month. However, most offers end at the end of the most. So if you are thinking about certain cards, you may want to consider getting them now. Chances are, some cards may extend their promotions, are offer something new. But if you have been on the fence about certain offers, this is the last month.

At the moment, the competition is mainly between BMO, CIBC, Scotiabank and TD. Would love to see some of the other credit card companies step up their game.

Credit Cards that Waive Foreign Fees (updated September 27, 2019)

It has been over a year and a half since I last updated this post, I thought it was due for an update, as there were several changes in the industry. I am going to change this post a little from last time. In the post, I wrote about the Rogers Bank cards that gave a higher multiplier bonus for foreign purchases. But going forward, my post will focus only on cards who waive foreign transaction fees.

Best Current First Year Fee Waived Cards for September 2019

First year fee waived offers are amazing, because it allows you to try a card for one year (less one day) without incurring an annual fee. Once you get used to it, you can decide whether you want to continue with the card the subsequent years. Often times, cards offer enough additional benefits to justify paying the annual fee year after year. Other times, not so much.

For this month, I am going with the featured card theme, as there is a card that I did not ever expect to waive its annual fee.

The changes from last time include two of TD offers ending, but they started some new ones. Furthermore, the BMO SPC card has been discontinued completely. Most offers listed below end on October 31, 2019, so if you are still thinking about the cards, there is still time.

Best Current First Year Fee Waived Cards for August 2019

Not a whole lot of changes this month, except for an updated version of the Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite Card. The most significant change was to its multiplier bonuses, which might be more attractive to some people. The downside is that the annual fee has increased, but there is still a first year fee waived offer. If you want to give the new card a try, but is as good as time as ever.

Top Cash Back Credit Card Offers for August 2019

Another month, another list. This time, there is very little change from last month. There were months where I tried to highlight a featured card, or picked a top monthly card. I think that I may go with a rotating theme just to mix things up. For this month, I am going to answer a common question: “If I had to choose 1 cash back card only, which one would it be?”

Top Credit Card Higher than Normal Sign Up Bonuses for August 2019

Most significant offers ended in June, and the next big batch ends on October 31, 2019. However, there are some TD promotions ending September 3, 2019, which would be before my next update. So if you are thinking about signing up for those cards, you may want to move fast before the offer expires.

Best Current First Year Fee Waived Cards for July 2019

Many promotions ended in June, but new promotions are being offered in July. So the list has trimmed down quite a bit for this month. One card that I would pay closer attention to is the Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite Card, which currently has a $99 annual fee (first year fee waived if you apply before October 31, 2019). However, the annual fee goes up to $120 on August 1, 2019. I am going to assume that Scotiabank is going to honour the October 31st promotional period. But if you want to be safe, I would apply for this card before August 1 to take advantage of the current offer. See the other two monthly lists on how we highlighted the featured card:
