Top Credit Card Sign Up Bonuses for April 2016
UPDATED- Scotiabank Gold American Express Card and CIBC Aerogold Visa Card for Business expired prematurely.
This has become a monthly list for me. You may see some credit card promotions, but I will mostly likely just combine them into this list. Unless there is a very time sensitive sign up to fully qualify for a specific bonus.
It has actually become quite an extensively list. I can see that there is an effort being made by many credit card companies. This year is starting to shape out to be a big year for credit card sign up bonuses.
I have ranked the credit cards by the price of the annual fees (lowest to highest) and then in alphabetical order:
BMO Air Miles MasterCard – No annual fee, earn 800 bonus Air Mile miles (if you apply before April 30, 2016), earn 400 miles after the first purchase and another 400 miles after spending $1,000 in the first 3 months.
MBNA Best Western Rewards Platinum Plus MasterCard – No annual fee, earn 40,000 Best Western Rewards points after your first purchase (no specified expiry date).
* I will note that there is supposedly a 40,000 MBNA Best Western MasterCard promotional offer, but I have heard reports that people are trying to sign up through that link but only receiving 20,000 sign up bonus points. When you call into customer service, they are playing dumb that they have never heard of this offer. And when you provide them with that link, they say that the link is not working. So just beware of this glitch when you apply.

Hi Matthew,
Have you heard anyone being denied the Marriott bonus points offer because they previously had the card?
If you wait a full 6 months it shouldn’t be a problem, otherwise you may have a problem.
Hi Matthew,
On your link to the Marriott application it states 50,000 bonus points, but on their website it states 30,000. Can you please tell me which is correct?
Thanks,
Philip
They are both correct. You just need this special link to receive the 50,000 bonus.
Thanks for the reply Matthew! Seems like the link has stopped working though now.
That’s odd. I just tried it and it is working fine. Maybe try a different browser or refresh.
Thanks Matthew! It’s working again!
