Beware of CBSA Scammers Posing as Employees
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is currently under a lot of pressure to work harder at the Canadian borders.
Currently, they are enforcing a new directive to inform people to isolate themselves for 14 consecutive days after arriving from abroad. Symptoms include: fever, cough or difficulty breathing.
Unfortunately, during this time, there are those are are posing as CBSA employees.
Beware: Scammers posing as CBSA employees
CBSA published a notice on their website to warn Canadians. Here’s a screenshot of the warning:

- If you have received a call from 1-800-461-9999 or any other 1-800 number, it isn’t the CBSA calling. CBSA employees do not contact the public by phone. This is a scam. Never give your social insurance number over the phone.
