Today, I am continue my series on credit card comparisons, which I asked my readers to provide suggestions. Feel free to continually add more suggestions to the comment section in that post.  I have already written posts about the other co-branded…

Rundown on American Airlines for Canadians (updated January 25, 2017)

American Airlines (AA) has a loyalty program called AAdvantage. It has been widely documented already that AAdvantage took a devaluation hit this past year in reward redemption. That being said, I still believe that there is still a lot of value to be had, especially for Canadians. There are some easy ways for Canadians to earn lots of AAdvantage miles, which would be an alternative to Aeroplan.

Rundown of Etihad Airways’ Etihad Guest for Canadians

Etihad Airways is the second-largest airline of the United Arab Emirates. They offer a loyalty program called Etihad Guest which actually has some ties with Canada. As a result, there is some value to be had. Today, I am going to write about the different opportunities that Canadians have with Etihad Guest.

Value of Aeroplan Distinction

If you were wondering how valuable the Aeroplan Distinction program is, I was wondering the same thing. So I thought I’d provide a post talking about the value of the program. Aeroplan Distinction is its elite status program, which is different from Air Canada’s Altitude program, which is based on Air Canada and Star Alliance flights. Aeroplan is solely based on how many Aeroplan miles you collect.

Rundown of Asia Miles (Cathay Pacific) for Canadians (updated January 10, 2017)

With the new Bill-47 law changes in the province of Ontario, it seems that Asia Miles will probably be affected by this change. As a result, I think that this post is due for an update.

Cathay Pacific has two loyalty programs: The Marco Polo Club (The Club), the loyalty program, and Asia Miles, the travel reward program. This post is focused on the Asia Miles program.

AMEX vs. CIBC vs. TD Aeroplan Gold/Infinite Cards

Today, we start with the comparison between the more popular co-branded Aeroplan cards: American Express AeroplanPlus Gold, CIBC Aerogold Visa Infinite Card and TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card. Including business versions, there are over 10 different types of co-branded Aeroplan cards. So I will focus on comparing similar level cards and then you can cross reference them in the future.

Rundown of United Airlines’ MileagePlus for Canadians (updated December 28, 2016)

I recently tried to redeem my Aeroplan miles for a United Airlines flight; however, there was no availability. But when I logged into MileagePlus, I saw the award flight available. Unfortunately, that means that the reward seat has not been released to Aeroplan yet. As we get closer to the date, if that award availability is not booked, then it will probably be send to Star Alliance partners, including Aeroplan.
