Credit Card Data Stolen from over 1,000 IHG Hotels

CBC reported that InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) said credit card information of their guests may have been stolen last year at thousands of locations, including more than 100 in Canada, mostly in Ontario and Alberta.

The hack appears to have happened over a 3 month space from September 29, 2016 to December 29, 2016. Be sure to check your past stays to find out if you have been affected.

This, rather after we wrote a post this week, featuring Capital One, regarding Tips on Protecting Against Credit Card Fraud.

This is really getting ridiculous. It is quite unfortunate that we have to take so many precautions to protect ourselves. This just fuels more mistrust between people. Who are we suppose to trust?
