Top Credit Card Sign Up Bonuses for November 2015

Every month, I will be listing out some of the top credit card sign up bonuses to take advantage of. Below is a list of the top current offers for the month of November, ranked by annual fees:

MBNA Best Western Rewards Platinum Plus MasterCard – No annual fee, earn 40,000 Best Western Rewards points after your first purchase.

There is no expiry on this promotion. But note that the public MBNA.ca website does not show the 40,000 offer, only the 20,000 offer. So I would not count on seeing the 40,000 promotion for a long time, it can be discontinued at any time.

Chase Marriott Rewards Visa – $120 annual fee (first year fee waived), earn 50,000 sign up bonus points after your first purchase.

With Scotiabank buying out Chase Canada, I have no idea how much longer this deal will be around for. So far we do not see any expiry date on the sign up bonus.

CIBC Aventura Visa for Business – $120 annual fee (first year fee waived if you apply before December 31, 2015) and earn 25,000 sign up bonus points (if you apply before December 31, 2015).

American Express Gold Rewards Card – $150 annual fee (first year fee waived), earn 25,000 sign up bonus Membership Rewards points after spending $500 in the first 3 months.

This promotion has been around for a few years now and does not have an expiry date. Keep in mind that you can only receive the sign up bonus once in your lifetime, unless you are being referred by a friend.

CIBC Aerogold Visa Card for Business – $180 annual fee (first year fee waived if you apply before December 31, 2015) and earn 25,000 sign up bonus miles (if you apply before December 31, 2015)

RBC British Airways Visa Infinite Visa – $165 annual fee, earn 50,000 sign up bonus Avios. Receive the first 15,000 Avios upon approval and another 35,000 Avios when you spend $9,000 in the first 3 months (if you sign up before November 15, 2015).

American Express Business Gold Rewards Card – $250 annual fee (waived the first year) and earn 30,000 (40,000 if referred) sign up bonus points if you spend $5,000 in the first 3 months of having this credit card.

  1. Hi Matthew, How many credit cards do you have/keep that you actually have to pay a yearly fee on ? Or, do you have a maximum you give yourself for all yearly fees total ? thanks.

    1. Currently I only have 2 credit cards that have an annual fee. Capital One World Aspire Travel Elite MasterCard, which I pay the fee year after year and the American Express Gold Rewards Card which is still only 6 months in, so no fee yet. Personally I don’t want to pay more than 1 annual fee per year.
