[PROMOTION] Marriott Bonvoy Fall Bonus Points

Marriott Bonvoy is currently running bonus points opportunities that run well into the fall, but only begins a week from today. Members will need to register for this offer.

• Bonus points are issued for stays between September 14, 2021 and December 12, 2021
• Earn 1,500 bonus points for each stay around the world
• Earn 3,000 additional bonus points for each stay at All-Inclusive Marriott Bonvoy resorts
• Registration must be completed before November 28, 2021.
• Earn unlimited bonus points

If you already have a booking made, prior to finding out about this offer, you should only have to register for the promotion to qualify. You should not not need to cancel and re-book. What is important is when you stay (between September 14, 2021 and December 12, 2021), but not when you book.

Exclusions

Note, however, that the bonus only counts for a stay, not by number of nights. The way to look at it is whenever you check-in to the hotel, that’s a stay. Checking out, however many nights, ends the stay. So members would only qualify for another bonus when they check in to another hotel.

There are other minor restrictions related to the bonus, such as:

• Only one room per booking will qualify for the bonus. So if you need to book more than 1 room under the same reservation, you are better off splitting it up with another (or other) member(s) to receive the bonus too.
• Award redemption stays where points are redeemed for the entire stay are not eligible for the promotion.
• Bookings made through third-party online retailers and select travel agency rates do not qualify for this promotion.
• Homes & Villas by Marriott International, Marriott Executive Apartments, and Marriott Vacation Club owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for bonus points

Basically, to be safe, if you want to earn bonus points, you will need to pay for your stay directly with Marriott.

Thoughts

Overall, this is an impressive offer by Marriott Bonvoy. This is very beneficial to those who are able to travel for work. For vacationers, those who are going on road trips and need to hotel hop at every stop, you may want to look into all the Marriott hotels along your route.

There are no resorts in Canada, so there will not be the 3,000 bonus offer available here, but the 1,500 bonus offer came out just in time, since much of the Canadian border is loosing much as its travel restrictions, effective today!
