Top Credit Card Higher than Normal Sign Up Bonuses for January 2021

It’s already a new year! For now, most offers are still running from the year before. Only the RBC WestJet is coming off this month’s list so hopefully we will be seeing new offerings coming this year.

Top Higher than Normal Sign Up Bonuses for January 2021

The credit cards are ranked by the price of the annual fees (lowest to highest):

BMO Air Miles MasterCard

  • No annual fee
  • Earn 800 sign up bonus Air Miles (after spending $1,000 within the first 3 months) (if you apply before October 31, 2021)
  • Earn up to 5x the miles at Shell locations (until December 31, 2020)
  • Normally 200 sign up bonus miles

BMO Rewards MasterCard

  • No annual fee
  • Earn 15,000 sign up bonus points (after spending $1,000 in the first 3 months) (if you apply before October 31, 2021)
  • Normally 10,000 sign up bonus points

RBC WestJet World Elite MasterCard

  • $119 annual fee
  • Earn $450 sign up bonus points (earn $250 after the welcome bonus and another $200 after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months) (if you apply before January 31, 2021)
  • Normally $250 sign up bonus WestJet dollars

BMO Air Miles World Elite MasterCard

  • $120 annual fee (first year fee waived if you apply before October 31, 2021)
  • Earn 2,000 sign up bonus Air Miles (spending $3,000 within the first 3 months) (if you apply before October 31, 2021)
  • Normally, 2,000 sign up bonus miles (but new offers may be the new normal)
  • Have at least $80,000 in personal annual income or $150,000 household income

BMO Rewards Business MasterCard

  • $120 annual fee (waived the first year if you apply before October 31, 2021)
  • $50 annual fee for a supplementary cardholder
  • Earn 50,000 sign up bonus points after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months (if you apply before October 31, 2021)
  • Normally 35,000 bonus points

TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card

  • $120 annual fee (first year fee waived if you apply before May 30, 2021)
  • $50 annual fee for supplementary cardholders
  • Earn 60,000 sign up bonus points after the first purchase (earn 20,000 TD points after the first purchase and earn 40,000 TD points after spending $1,500 within 90 days) (if you apply before May 30, 2021)
  • Normally 40,000 TD points
  • Have at least $60,000 in personal annual income or $100,000 household income

National Bank World Elite MasterCard

  • $150 annual fee (first year fee waived if you apply before January 31, 2021)
  • $50 annual fee for a supplementary cardholder
  • Earn 30,000 points after spending $4,000 in the first 3 months (if you apply before January 31, 2021)
  • Receive $250 in travel fee refunds annually (e.g. seat selection, airport parking and baggage fees)
  • Have at least $80,000 in personal annual income, $150,000 household income or have $400,000 asset under management. Or $25,000 in minimum purchases per year (existing client only)
  • $199 annual fee
  • $50 annual fee for a supplementary card (first card fee waived)
  • Earn 40,000 sign up bonus Scotia Reward points (earn 30,000 for spending $5,000 within the first 3 months and earn 10,000 Scotia Reward bonus points for spending $60,000 in the first 12 months) (if you apply before February 28, 2021)
  • Normally 30,000 sign up bonus points
  • Have at least $60,000 personal annual income, $100,000 annual household income or $250,000 assets under management, as well as a minimum business annual sales revenue of $500,000

    Is any reason why you did not include the MBNA Alaska Aitlines credit cards?

    MBNA Alaska Airline Platinum Plus Master Card .. $75.00 ….20 000 miles … $1000 within 3 moths spending
    MBNA Alaska AIrlibes World Elite Master Card .. $99.00…..30 000 miles ….$1000 within 3 months spending
    Both cards give $99.00 companion fare

    Theses cards are must better then the RBC Westjet Ca

    Oops I miss read the initial title heading post.

    Just wanted to throw in the mix that the Mbna Alaska Airlines Credit Card is far superior then
    the RBC Westjet Credit Card
