[PROMOTION] 20,000 Aeroplan Points with CIBC (first year fee waived) (expired)
In a surprise move by CIBC, they are offering 20,000 Aeroplan points with first year annual fee waived on their two credit cards, the Gold and Infinite versions.
This is one of those too good to be true deals, so I’ve been trying to read through all the fine lines. For now, here are the highlights of the two cards:
CIBC Aerogold Visa Infinite Card
- $120 annual fee (first year fee waived if you apply between
January 1, 2014 and March 31, 2014) - $50 for supplementary cardholders
- Earn 15,000 points after your first card purchase
- Earn 5,000 when you spend $500 in first three consecutive months
- Earn 3 points for every $1 spent at select CIBC Bonus Rewards establishments
- Earn 1.5 point for every $1 spent at gas, grocery and drug stores
- Earn 1 point for every $1 spent on all other purchases
- Virtually the same as the CIBC Aerogold Visa Infinite Card above, the main difference is that you only earn 1.5 point at select CIBC Bonus Rewards establishments
We have no idea how much longer CIBC is planning on keeping Aeroplan for, so if you need Aeroplan points, be sure to jump on this promotion. Waiving the annual fee make these two cards no-brainers.
