American Airlines back on Orbitz

After only three days, American Airlines have returned to Orbitz. An agreement was reached for American Airlines (including U.S. Airways) to continue selling its tickets on Orbitz.

Orbitz also announced that tickets previously bought on its site are still valid, in case people are worried about having purchased an invalid ticket.

That was a fairly quick turnaround. I guess these third party online travel companies are not yet ready to lose partners. I think Orbitz had more to lose in this partnership, so they survived a possible major blow to its company.
