Top Cash Back Credit Card Offers for February 2021

Today is going to be the last time that we posted this monthly list, regarding top cash back credit card promotions. The reason is because there is a strong 10% cash back market (permanent and temporary offers) in Canada. We will be replacing this slot with a new monthly list that we tried out last month (Current 10% Cash Back Portfolio for January 2021). There will still be a 10% cash back post last this month, but starting in February, it will replace this slot (which comes out in and around the 15th of every month).

The industry seems to go in ups and downs. There was a period of time where first year fee waived cards were far and few in between. At the moment, there are quite a few cards with first year fee waived offers.

Also note that we are only listing credit cards that have limited time offers and not ones that have an indefinite first year fee waived offer, like some of the CIBC cards.

Ranking the Credit Card Portfolios of Each Canadian Financial Institutions (updated December 1, 2020)

It has been 8 months since our last update. Can you believe it, 8 months ago we were already dealing with lockdowns.

Suffice to say, there has been some major changes to the industry since then, namely, Capital One slowly shutting things down, along with Aeroplan’s launch of new co-branded cards. Even so, you will notice most of the ranking changes from the middle to the end of the list.
