Below is a summary of the changes to Aeroplan that was going to come into effect in June 2020.
Quite a few promotions expired at the end of June. Many of them got extended till the end of October, others fell off the list (namely AMEX and a couple of BMO cards). Furthermore, a few others made it to the list this month. So for, this has been a fairly strong list of promotions that waives the first year fee.
Note that we also have two other types of monthly lists going on:
Aimia’s (owner of Aeroplan) Chief Executive Officer, Jeremy Rabe released a video explaining some of the changes expected from July 2020 onward to its reward program. In short, the changes look very promising.
Several promotions came to an end from last month, but got extended. You will find that most promotions run until the end of October.

Amazon.ca is one of the more valuable Aeroplan partners that was added in 2018. In celebration of Amazon Prime Day, you can earn 5x the Aeroplan miles from July 16-18, 2018. Note that this offer is exclusive to Amazon Prime members only. In addition, CIBC Aeroplan cardholders can earn an extra 3 miles for every $1 spent throughout July. That is a total of 8x the miles.

I think that it is safe to say that most of the dust has settled with all the negative publicity with Air Miles.
Negativity with Air Miles
Air Miles was introducing a hard expiry policy of 5 years after miles were deposited, that was going to be effective on December 31, 2016. What that means is that once your miles are deposited into your account, they will expiry within 5 years regardless of expiry. There was going to be a first-in-first-out rule, whereby the miles you redeem will be the ones that were deposited first.
