Comparing Canada, British and USA Executive Club Credit Cards

If you have been following my series, I have mostly been comparing similar Canada versus US based credit cards. Today, I think that it will be fun to add a third country in the mix. Ranking the Credit Card Portfolios of Each Canadian Financial Institutions (updated May 1, 2017)

It has been exactly 6 months since the last time I updated this list. The reason is because there has been very little movement until the past two months, where there were quite a few changes in the credit card industry that warrants an update to the rankings. Last year was a strong year for credit cards, so I assumed that 2017 would be a slow down year anyway. Unfortunately, most of the changes so far to the industry have been negative. Companies that moved down the list is because of a negative change. The ones that moved up is due to the downfall of the other companies.

As of April 3, 2017, we are no longer accepting applications for the Amazon.ca Rewards Visa Card and there is no other way to get the card at this time.

Comparing Canadian and U.S. Amazon Credit Cards

It has been fun for me to compare similar Canadian and U.S. based credit cards. So far, it has proven that Canada does have some competitive cards. I cannot expect them to be at par with each other. Today, we continue our comparison series with the Amazon co-branded cards.

Keep in mind that the U.S. has two versions of the card to consider. Below are the highlights of each respective cards:

Comparison of Canada and U.S. Chase Marriott Credit Cards

This idea came from a comment in my Top Credit Card Higher than Normal Sign Up Bonuses post. Thanks Jeff!

Both Canada and the United States offer their own versions of a co-branded Marriott Rewards credit card, each offered by the Chase Bank. In the U.S., there are currently 2 completely different offers to watch out for. Canada also has two offers, but I will only mention one of them, which I will explain below. Let’s start with the highlights of each credit card:
