[AIRPORT] Vancouver ranked the Least Frustrating Airport in North America
According to Bloomsberg Businessweek’s new Airport Fustration Index, Vancouver International Airport makes it on the top of the list as being the least frustrating airport in all of North America.
The index was categorized into three different sections which included the following: commute to the airport, the overall time at the terminal, and the time for departures. A score of 0 meant that the category was least frustrating for travelers and respectively, a score of 100 meant that the category was most frustrating for travelers.
For the first category, the factors which were taken into consideration were the travel from the city to the airport both by car and public transportation. Vancouver scored very low in this category, ranking it number 22 out of 36 airports.
In the second category, Vancouver did much better scoring 7.6 out of 10 for security, 8.2 for cleanliness of washrooms, and 6.8 for shopping experience.
And finally, Ottawa International Airport and Vancouver International Airport takes the lead in 1st and 2nd place for having the highest consistency for flights leaving on time.
In an overall view of airports which made it on the list, Calgary International Airport followed closely behind coming in 4th, Ottawa International Airport in 8th place, Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport in 20th place, and Toronto Pearson International Airport in 30th place. So the next time you’re planning a trip, it may be important to factor in the airport as well.
