VIA Rail is planning a $4-billion project by the end of the year to build high-frequency electric-hybrid trains between the Windsor-Quebec City corridor. The hope is that the project will begin construction next year and be ready for 2019. The funding will come from the Federal government and the private sector.
If you have been reading our Blog, you probably already know that one of my favourite credit cards is the Capital One Aspire Travel World Elite MasterCard. Today, I will share with you my analysis on why I decided to keep paying the annual fee year after year to retain this credit card.
WestJet has a rewards program that is offering two separate promotions. The first promotion is in celebration of new flights being offered to London, England.
The sign up bonus on the MBNA Sony Card Platinum Plus MasterCard once again increase from 2,000 to 10,000 Sony points. There does not seem to be a time frame on how long the promotion is going on for, so it will come back down at any time without notice. We’ve also seen this promotion terminate earlier than advertised without warning.
I have said this for a while now, with the way things are going (clamping down on churning), cash back credit cards become more valuable.
This has become a monthly list for me. You may see some credit card promotions, but I will mostly likely just combine them into this list. Unless there is a very time sensitive sign up to fully qualify for a specific bonus.
Aeroplan is teaming up with Esso gas stations to offer 15,000 Aeroplan miles every hour between March 29, 2016 and May 23, 2016. This is actually an unbelievable promotion if you dig a little deeper.
Royal Bank is once again offering a 50,000 sign up bonus Avios promotion with its British Airways Visa Infinite card. We saw this once back in the fall of 2015, so within 6 months, this promotion is back again.
