It has been 18 months since the last time we saw an American Express Membership Rewards transfer bonus to British Airways’ Executive Club. Personally, I thought that we would never see a transfer bonus like this again from American Express, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a 25% transfer bonus.
Transfer bonuses are my favourite way to boost my loyalty accounts.
RBC is getting the ball rolling in what it seems to be a new partnership with Petro-Canada (previously with CIBC).
From now until October 30, 2017, if you use any RBC credit card, you can instantly save 2¢ per litre with no minimum purchase required.
A class action lawsuit was brought against Shoppers Drug Mart (Pharmaprix in Quebec) by 1.4 million members in the province of Quebec back in 2010, when Shoppers Optimum devalued its reward redemption. It took 7 years to finally come to a…
Is it just me or does it feel like more credit cards are being shut down than introduced to the market? It started with Petro-Canada, now it is Esso’s turn. Tip- If you have a family or friend living on one of those provinces, you may be able to borrow their postal code. The precaution I would take is whether the postal code on your loyalty account matches.
Today, we feature Pointshogger contributor, Jean-Francois Pratt, who will share with us his experience with Drop. Thank you Jean-Francois!
A Toronto-based start-up launched a multi-retailer loyalty program called DROP. Each 10 points is worth 1 cent, so 2,000 sign up bonus points is $2 that you can use at partner programs.
One of my readers email me a few days ago about this, I was in denial for a few days. But it is true. If you log into your RBC Rewards account, you will find the following wording:
Please be advised of the upcoming changes to the conversion of RBC Rewards points to American Airlines AAdvantage miles through the RBC Rewards program. Effective May 2, 2017, for every 10 RBC Rewards points which is converted, you will receive 7 AAdvantage miles. A maximum of 500,000 points may be converted annually. A minimum conversion of 5,000 points continues to apply each time.
