As one year ends, a new one begins. I plan for this to be a continuous New Year’s tradition. On New Year’s Day, I plan to continually write about all my wishes that I would like to see during the year. On July 1st, I will write up a mid-term report. My final report comes out on New Year’s eve. So let’s get the ball rolling with what I would like to see throughout 2016.
I actually really enjoy writing up this post. Today, I am providing an assessment of my 2015 wish list that I provided at the first day of the new year. I already provided my Mid-Year Report on Canada Day. Below is the result of my full year’s report:
Today’s post is more about catering to my hobby. I was actually curious to find out what is the longest flight departing from Canada. Below is a list of the top 3 flights ranked by distance.
Elite status with airlines and hotels can be very valuable to some. Usually to qualify for elite status you will see minimum requirements. Alaska Airlines appears to be growing in popularity in Canada, so it’s only fair to give a rundown of the airline and its loyalty program, Mileage Plan. Note that Alaska Airlines is not a member of any airline alliance, but they do have several co-share partners that you can earn miles with.
VIA Rail is offering some awesome Boxing week sales. You will need to book your trip between December 26, 2015 and January 4, 2016.
Otherwise, this post is more of a post-Boxing Day theme. Hopefully everyone came home happy with their purchases, but if you came home with some regrets, below are some tips to prepare for next year, as I did last year.
Another year, another update to my last shopping tips. With all the stores closed on Christmas Day, I usually like to provide all the shopping tips ahead of Boxing Day tomorrow. Hopefully you already read my last year’s Boxing Day post to help you prepare for this year’s shopping.
Cathay Pacific has probably flown a little under the radar in Canada, but there are some interesting opportunities to be had if you dig a little closer. First of all, it is important to note that Cathay Pacific has two loyalty programs: The Marco Polo Club and Asia Miles. Members of Marco Polo Club are automatically enrolled as Asia Miles members. For the purposes of this post, we will be focusing on Asia Miles.
