Ranking the Credit Card Portfolios of Each Canadian Financial Institutions (updated February 1, 2016)

This is not going to be an easy post to write, but I did want to try to pin each financial institution against each other to see how they fair. This is going to be a very subjective post where I am going to rank each each company based on their overall credit card portfolio. I am also going to list out some of the top credit cards offered by each institution.

$150 Promotion with the BMO CashBack World Elite MasterCard

The Bank of Montreal is offering a $150 bonus credit on its CashBack World Elite MasterCard. The way the credit card works is that you earn 175 points for every $100 that you spend. Each point is worth 1 cent, so you are essentially getting 1.75% return on all purchases. The bonus promotion gives you up to 15,000 bonus points, which is the equivalent to $150.

Coolest Looking Credit Cards

Have you ever signed up for a credit card because you thought the design on the card was really cool and you just needed to add that to your collection? I definitely have. This happened when I went to my very first live Ottawa Senators game at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa and I noticed they were booths set up for the Ottawa Senators MasterCard offered by MBNA.
