WestJet decided to have a little April Fool’s fun with pretending to re-brand to Canada Air. Would not have been the worse thing to re-brand itself to a more encompassing of the entire country. WestJet does seem to refer only to a certain part of the country.
A new year, also means new wishes! Let’s continue with our annual tradition of listing our wish list for 2017. Anything that did poorly last year is going to make the list again this year. Yes, I am persistent like that! To be fair, in most cases, I do feel that I am hoping for win/
Another year has gone by. So once again, our annual tradition of recapping what I was hoping to see at the beginning of the year. We already did a mid-year report on Canada Day, so this is just closing the loop.
Boxing Day posts are generally always late. I usually give my shopping tips the day before already. However, to really win the miles and points game, you have to plan well ahead of time, in anticipation.
So if you are reading this post before heading out for the Boxing Day shopping, then have a great day! Otherwise, this post is more of a post-Boxing Day theme. Hopefully everyone came home happy with their purchases. Happy as in, feeling that you got great value for what you purchases.
I think my shopping tips could use an update. In the past, I focused more on cash savings on discounts. But there are other factors to consider. Also, in the past, I focused more on Boxing Day specific shopping tips, but these tips will apply more year round as well.

Halloween always seems like a great time to talk about Cineplex’s Scene rewards program. Since we started blogging, the program has gone through some changes over the years (2013, 2014, 2015).
Just in case there is a confusion, this is the Canadian Thanksgiving. That being said, let’s continue our yearly (2015, 2014) Thanksgiving theme. It is very easy to be negative in this industry. So the time today is to focus purely on the positives of the loyalty rewards world.
