Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is a Canadian-based operator of luxury hotels and resorts. Fairmont has a loyalty program called President’s Club and operates in 19 different countries. Every 6 months or so, Fairmont releases a batch of promotions that started in October. You can take advantage by booking before December 10, 2015 and by May 31, 2016.

As a result, you may not feel that it is worth the hassle to sign up for the hotel loyalty program. An alternative to this problem is to set your hotel program to earn Aeroplan miles instead of hotel points. This way, you can pool your points into Aeroplan, so that you can save for a reward flight quicker.
First of all, the Gold Star Membership costs $55, but without any rewards. The Executive Membership costs $110 to sign up. So we are essentially talking about a $55 price difference. Gold members do not receive any sort of rewards; conversely, Executive Members get 2% cash back on all purchases (up to $750 cash back or $37,500 in annual spending).

IHG Rewards has released another set PointsBreak offers that is valid from October 26, 2015 to January 31, 2016. This has always been my favourite hotel promotion, which reduces the number of points required for a reward night down to 5,000 points. IHG hotel categories range from 10,000 points to 50,000 points per night. That is what makes the Pointsbreak promotion so valuable. You can potentially find hotel rooms normally costing 30,000 or 40,000 points per night for only 5,000 points during the promotional period.
