Matt has been an avid points collector since 1992 (an elementary school student), when his dad signed up for the new (at the time) Air Miles program. IHG PointsBreak (October 26, 2015 – January 31, 2016)

IHG Rewards has released another set PointsBreak offers that is valid from October 26, 2015 to January 31, 2016. This has always been my favourite hotel promotion, which reduces the number of points required for a reward night down to 5,000 points. IHG hotel categories range from 10,000 points to 50,000 points per night. That is what makes the Pointsbreak promotion so valuable. You can potentially find hotel rooms normally costing 30,000 or 40,000 points per night for only 5,000 points during the promotional period.
