I think that it is safe to say that most of the dust has settled with all the negative publicity with Air Miles.
Negativity with Air Miles
Air Miles was introducing a hard expiry policy of 5 years after miles were deposited, that was going to be effective on December 31, 2016. What that means is that once your miles are deposited into your account, they will expiry within 5 years regardless of expiry. There was going to be a first-in-first-out rule, whereby the miles you redeem will be the ones that were deposited first.
Cineplex recently entered into a partnership with Uber Eats. Basically, Cineplex is launching an initiative where you can rent a movie at home and have your drinks and snacks delivered to your home instead of going to the theatre. You will have to download the Uber Eats App to find out if they deliver to your area. For now, only some parts of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec are being serviced. But the plan is to expand.

CBC reports Thieves steal millions of PC Optimum points, go on shopping sprees. In short, several PC Optimum accounts were hacked and points were redeemed.
As if Loblaws needs more issues at with the whole “overpriced bread” scandal, where they offered a $25 gift card as compensation. But then now requesting ID from people to qualify for the gift card. Is this really a good time to ask for IDs when they have having hacker issues?
Seems like Aeroplan is getting a lot of positive feedback for teaming up with Amazon.
What may have been lost in the mix is that Air Miles is already a partner with Amazon.ca, where you can earn 1 mile for every $20 spent on its shopping portal Air Miles Shops.

RBC Rewards is once again offering a 15% transfer bonus to WestJet between February 1, 2018 and February 28, 2018, so we are already halfway through the promotion. We have seen 25% transfer bonuses before, but I highly doubt we will see those generous days any time soon. For WestJet, 15% seems to be the bonus for the foreseeable future. At this point, I am just glad that there is even a bonus offer.
