Glitch with the American Express Air Miles Platinum Credit Card

I was referred by my dad earlier this year to sign up for the American Express Air Miles Platinum Credit Card. As we all know, American Express has made changes to its sign up bonus qualifications. We are now only entitled to one sign up bonus per lifetime, unless we are referred by a family or friend.

[DISCONTINUED] Rogers First Rewards to be Discontinued and Introduction of the Rogers Bank Platinum MasterCard

The Rogers First Rewards program was very short lived. The telecommunications company only really got its rewards program up and running in early 2014. Less than 2 years later, they plan to discontinue the program, more specifically on December 1, 2015. Thankfully, instead of cancelling our points, they will be transferring the rewards to the Rogers Platinum MasterCard cash back account, assuming that you have the credit card.

25,000 Aeroplan + 50% Off Annual Fee with the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card (expired)

As the most recent promotion expires on the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card, a new one arises. The new offer includes a 50% discount on the annual fee as well as a bonus with Shop.ca. Below are the highlights of the credit card offer:

If Annual Fees Were not an Issue

It’s no secret that annual fees are a nuisance. However, in some cases there are enough perks associated with certain credit cards to justify annual fees. Furthermore, if annual fees were not an issue, I would probably not care as much about churning credit card as much, so in some cases, I would simply renew the credit card. If annual fees weren’t an issue, I would probably be travelling much more often, which is why my portfolio may seem more travel centric.

New Link for the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Visa

As you already know, the Chase Canada website has taken off the link to sign up for the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Visa. But the website is advertising for only 30,000 sign up bonus points. There has been a special link for the 50,000 sign up bonus points instead, but that seems to have discontinued. Furthermore, the old 30,000 link also discontinued, so I almost thought the credit card was finished until I saw this new link with the 30,000 sign up bonus offer.
