The new rule allows merchants to charge consumers “interchange or swipe fees” for every transaction, commonly known as payment processing fees.
Several major grocery chain stores in Canada had a price freeze on their in-house products, such as Loblaws’ No Name brand. The price freeze was to help shoppers offset against the high inflation between October 17, 2022 and January 31, 2023. This month, we are back to free for all. Today, let’s re-visit the best credit cards, along with some calculations (found below each credit card) to use on grocery spending.

This post is designed to list all the temporary higher than normal sign up bonus offers across the country. The cards are listed by expiry dates, with the ones expiring first at the top. If there is a tie-break in terms of expiry date, then it is sorted in alphabetical order.
For this month, National Bank moved its offer to end in June 2023 and TD moved their offer to May 2023, while the HSBC offer is coming to an end.

For this month, Tangerine extended its offer that expired last month to expire this month instead. The rest of the offers remain the same.

For this month’s list, quite a few offers (between Scotiabank and TD) expired on January 3, 2023. While National Bank and RBC have promotions expiring before the end of the month. Scotiabank pushed its offer till the end of the month, while TD modified some of their offers and now expiry in May.
