RBC Visa Business Platinum Avion First Year Fee Waived

I was actually pretty shocked to see this promotion, as RBC rarely waive their annual fees, granted the RBC Visa Business Platinum Avion is a business card, rather than personal. Either way, I am just happy to see this offer. Below are the highlights of this credit card:

$120 annual fee (first year fee waived if you apply before May 31, 2017)

Comparing Canadian and U.S. Costco Credit Cards

After Costco dropped American Express as the exclusive accepted credit card at its retail stores, they took at MasterCard in Canada and Visa in the United States. Today, we will be comparing the two respective co-branded Costco credit cards available.

Both cards require the cardholder to be an existing Costco member to qualify. Furthermore, in both cases, the cash back is received once per year in the form of a Costco certificate (or rebate coupon).

Reduce your Business Expenses with American Express

As you know, we have teamed up with American Express Business to offer a better than advertised sign up bonus offer. Offers can include a 75,000 sign up bonus with the Business Platinum with free gold supplementary cards. The offer will vary depending on the business. If you are a business owner, I definitely recommend that you fill out the referral form and find out what you qualify for!

Earn 500 Bonus Scene Points

I last wrote a rundown about the Scene program on Halloween day. It is actually one of my favourite loyalty programs because of how much movies costs these days, these points have become even more valuable.

There is currently a promotion if you have the Scotiabank Scene Debit Card, which is also one of the rare debit cards that actually give rewards.

AIR MILES Cancels Expiry

Seriously Air Miles? They decided to take a page out of Aeroplan’s book. Remember when Aeroplan introduced a 7 year hard expiry on its points? Basically, your miles would have expired 7 years from the day they were deposited, regardless of activity. But just before the expiry was about to kick in, they backed out. The same thing is happening now with Air Miles, they were going to introduce a hard expiry of 5 years after miles were deposited, to be effective on December 31, 2016.
