A new year means a new wish list. Yesterday, I wrote a post about how I only listed three items on purpose last year as those are my hot topics that I have been continuously tracking. I will adding the same three to my list again this year, along with a couple others.
As we close out 2023, we continue with our year-end series of grading our wish list from our first post of the year. This report card is a continuation of our yearly mid-term report back on Canada Day (July 1st of every year).
Since the start of the decade (2022, 2021, 2020), we managed to update this list every December, mine as well keep going.
There were quite a few major changes in the industry, so there was some shift in the rankings. They are now divided in the 3 groups: top 5, from 6 to 10, and the rest.
Air Canada and TD are inviting Canadians for a chance to WIN BIG at the TD Aeroplan Escape. Air Canada and TD are hosting an escape room challenge to show guests the exciting rewards and opportunities, like free first checked bag on Air Canada flights for up to 8 people on the same booking, that come with being a TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Cardholder.
Air Canada’s frequently flyer program Aeroplan has teamed up with Parkland’s Journie Rewards program. Parkland operates gas stations from Ultramar, Chevron, Pioneer, Fas Gas, ON the RUN and Marché Express, which accounts for 1,100 locations Canada-wide.
One of my favourite survey programs in Canada is called AskingCanadians, which is free to sign up. Asking Canadians is a survey program that asks you to share your opinion in return for rewards.
In the summer of 2023, AIR MILES introduced its AIR MILES Receipts program to members living in Atlantic Canada. As of November 2023, all Air Miles members across the country can now take part. I gave it my first try today and it worked like a charm, as I share my personal experience today.
Effective today, November 1st, 2023, until the end of the year, December 31, 2023, Rogers Bank credit cardholders using mobile wallet can receive 5 free Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) rides. Each ride has a value of $3.30. It may not see like a lot of value, but these are still freebies!
Since the beginning of 2023, we really started contemplating whether this 10 year anniversary post was going to be our last. As the year went on, it really felt like Pointshogger was coming to an end. But more on this later.
